ENVIRONMENTAL LICENSING IN THE STATE OF PARÁ:
A CASE STUDY OF OLEOPLAN PARÁ
Environmental licensing is a legal tool used to monitor the installation and operation of projects and activities that use natural resources, that are polluting or that may cause impacts on the environment.Green Forest operates in this area through consultancy, to obtain Environmental Licenses and execution, to comply with the requirements of environmental agencies.
During 2021, Green Forest began the process ofenvironmental licensing of the first biodiesel industry in the state of Pará, the companyOleoplan S.A, which operates in the vegetable oil processing sector for the production of biofuel in the states of Rio Grande do Sul, Bahia and Rondônia. In Pará, the company uses Palm Oil for production. The installation took place in the municipality of Tomé-Açú and involved bodies such as the National Petroleum Agency (ANP), the Fire Department, INMETRO and the State Secretariat for the Environment and Sustainability (SEMAS).
The licensing process took place in two stages with SEMAS, namely installation and operation. The previous stage was waived, as Oleoplan purchased an operating palm oil industry and made changes to it to produce biodiesel. Licensing began on 07/28/2021 and the Installation License was granted on 09/17/2021.
During the process of obtaining the Operating License, to better understand the operation of the industry, being the first of its kind in the state, Oleoplan invited the SEMAS team and Green Forest technicians to learn about the operation of the industry in the municipality of Veranópolis, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. The technical visit resolved the doubts and the Operating License was granted on 12/06/2021.
Currently, the industry, under the name Oleoplan Pará, is operating and complying with the conditions of its Operating License, through the advice provided by Green Forest and the efforts of its employees to carry out the best work that the state of Pará can offer.

GREEN FOREST PERFORMANCEIN THE PUBLIC FOREST CONCESSION PROCESS
Green Forest Consultoria Ambiental has sought to increasingly insert itself into the process ofPublic Forest Concession all over the country. The main objective of this is to delegate to companies, through a bidding process, the possibility of harvesting timber and non-timber products and implementing environmental services, ensuring above all sustainable management of the areas.
In this sense, it offers its customers aspecialized technical and legal advice, carrying out document regularization of them and leading their participation in all phases of the bidding processes. Both at the federal and state levels, we intensified our actions, with the aim of achieving successadding quality work.
