ENVIRONMENTAL LICENSING IN THE STATE OF PARÁ:
A CASE STUDY OF OLEOPLAN PARÁ

Environmental licensing is a legal tool used to monitor the installation and operation of projects and activities that use natural resources, that are polluting or that may cause impacts on the environment.Green Forest operates in this area through consultancy, to obtain Environmental Licenses and execution, to comply with the requirements of environmental agencies.

During 2021, Green Forest began the process ofenvironmental licensing of the first biodiesel industry in the state of Pará, the companyOleoplan S.A, which operates in the vegetable oil processing sector for the production of biofuel in the states of Rio Grande do Sul, Bahia and Rondônia. In Pará, the company uses Palm Oil for production. The installation took place in the municipality of Tomé-Açú and involved bodies such as the National Petroleum Agency (ANP), the Fire Department, INMETRO and the State Secretariat for the Environment and Sustainability (SEMAS).
